Three years my friends narc ex has been dragging her through the courts. Three years. He had the money and she now has none and cant afford legal representation. He left her destitute because she couldn't get legal aide nor afford the solicitor. he had cash hidden everywhere and the flipping family court magistrate is mad. Every time he  breeched of orders she did nothing. She said there was nothing she could do. He fought to have her stay ion town as it was in the best interest of the child. ( did I mention domestic violence) Everyone of his arguments to make my friend stay was because of the best interest of the child. And the judge and the child lawyer made her stay as it was in the best interest of the child. WEll guess what he wants to move three hours away and he wants my friend to move too. Even though he has had numerous girlfriends who have left him and have had orders placed on him to stop stalking them. He has a new girlfirend for a while now.  He still insists that my friend moves as it is in the best interest of the child. He is the most hideous dad but the judge wont believe it.

By friend, do you mean platonic friend?

I think without a good L, you can get eviscerated in court. Why is she not eligible for legal aid?

If she is not motivated to resolve this for herself, it's a bit of an uphill battle. It's tough for women who are beaten down and depressed, if that's her situation. But she needs to fight.

In my state, there are 10 criteria to justify a move -- that's for out of state though. If your friend doesn't get a consult with a lawyer and advocate for herself, she's going to get steam rollered.

It may be that the court can't see her side of the story because she isn't making a good case for herself.

You need someone with expertise to help navigate court. It's not an easy process to navigate on your own.

Oh she has made many a  good case and she has been represented.  The judge according to every solicitor wh0o goes in ther eis mad. She called my girl friend  my chum the most disgraceful mother. My friend doesn't drink smoke drugs no history of violence. The judge is mad. However  her ex is a madder.He taps her phone and mine. Noone believe us until he slips and says things that only we have said. She does represent herself as she hasnt the money for leagal aide,.
