  hello,

I've been referred by my D15s counsellor for the 12 step programme.

I know very little about it, apart from its related to domestic abuse.

What can I expect?

Which 12 step program did he refer you to? Is it AA? Or... . ?

This will help readers help in their responses and give you specific information on what to expect and what their experiences were.

Most 12 step programs borrow the steps from Alcoholics Anonymous.  I go to the Alanon program which is the program for families of alcoholics.  It has helped me a lot.  I hope that you find similar success.

Thanks  Smiling (click to insert in post)

There's no alcohol issues. I understand it's for people who've lived with domestic violence for a long time.

Thanks Tired. I hope too that it helps and am glad it's been of use to you.
