A few years ago during the final recycle attempt, I outlined the whole situation (up to that point) to a good friend of mine, and he described the recycling phase as an "emotional booty call."

Of course, we were both 19 and kinda laughed at how nonsensical that description is, but is that really the best way to look at a recycling phase?

You posted this just because it's funny, and for no other reason! I approve. That is so true, and funny. :P

I always see posts on here that could be about my ex, the stories are all so similar.  It's almost a shame we can't name and shame.

Cup.car- I think it's a perfect description.  Smiling (click to insert in post) My ex had a whole pool of possible guys to draw from when she needed someone. She called them her "acquaintances".

I think it is the perfect description too. Since our last outburst/breakup up until the REAL end, I noticed her increased activity in texting. She was prepping the orbiters for the eventual release. I'm sure the very next day after I walked out, she was hitting up at least 2 of them with some EBC's.

Earthbayne-

I like the "orbiters" analogy. I've said before that a couple of my ex's acted like they were the sun with the planets (guys) orbiting around them. The key for them seems to be that they keep the planets in perfect orbits, not too close but not too far away.
