This is probably a VERY SHALLOW topic, but this occurrence really stunned me:

My BPDw was listening to music when we were in bed last night.   She played the newer Taylor Swift song "Blank Space" - a song that to me clearly suggests BPD.   BPDw informs me that it is her new favorite song because it is about a girl telling everyone to f-off.  She says she really identifies with it.

When I listen to this song, that is not the message I g

I actually like Taylor Swift too (don't judge).      I have to completely agree, however, that Blank Space sets off the warning sirens.  I was struck by the BPD characteristics too the first time I heard it.

I think this is very common in music and film, though.  And my theory is that BPD is so close to what we all really want in love.  Deep down, we all want a BPD-like relationship without the disorder.  We want to have a relationship where we feel so completely seen, that feels so intensely passionate, that features such admiration of each other that it nears idolization, that loves so completely without any inhibition, that feels like all our dreams come true.  We all want Romeo and Juliet deep down.

Edit:  I should add literature to music and film, but let's just say art in general.
