Before you can make things better, you have to stop making them worse... Have you considered that being critical, judgmental, or invalidating toward the other parent, no matter what she or he just did will only make matters worse? Someone has to be do something. This means finding the motivation to stop making things worse, learning how to interrupt your own negative responses, body language, facial expressions, voice tone, and learning how to inhibit your urges to do things that you later realize are contributing to the tensions.

It's been 2 weeks of no contact. She started posting facebook status s about being afraid and about how she needs to move on. Should I contact her or is this an attempt to pull me back in? After everything she said this is the last thing I expected.

From what it looks like to me and from the valuable information I have been given so far on this forum this is purely and simply mind games.

I am 7 months out now since my ex split with me and making great strides and now all of a sudden my ex is looking to push my buttons and starts posting memes quotes and songs. Her latest one which I came across not long ago was

He might make her cry,but nobody can make her smile like he does

He might make her mad but nobody can make her laugh like he does

he might stress her out but nobody makes her happier than he does

although it may feel like the right thing to do to leave him,she just feels so lost without him

because nothing makes sense, nothing feels the way it is supposed to,nothing feels right

but with him,it is just something she can't explain

although it may feel like hell when they argue, when they're getting along it feels perfect

Ignore it my friend, without help she will never get better and you are in for yet another world of hurt  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)
