a letter to my ex

To: You
I want to start off by saying that the game is over. You won. I now know the real you and not the facade. I sit here and ask myself is this possible. Is it possible that you are a ___ing sociopath? Let's take a look at the facts: childhood trauma, horrible in school, self-harm(100s of fights), homeless(hotels)-moving from state to state/city to city, and let's not forget the pathological liar. You are a textbook case for a ___ing sociopath. You're extremely intelligent. How the ___ do you not know what you are at the age of forty? I sit here and I ask myself but that's not all, you also have black and white thinking, no empathy or remorse or compassion, you haven't spoken to your parents in years, you have incredibly low self-esteem, you can't keep a job, and let's not forget the impulsivity, the inability to handle emotion, and the need for a constant emotional caretaker. I said is it possible that you are a ___ing comorbid antisocial and borderline ass? Yes, it's possible and the only thing I want to tell you is to leave me the ___ alone. It's all in your ___ing head because I didn't do ___ to you. Goodbye!
I'm doing this the right way this time! Day 1- no freaking contact ever!
No, I did not send this, but I want to.

Good girl - I'm sure writing that was cathartic!
Now print it off and stick it up somewhere nice and visible in the kitchen to remind yourself you can never go back to him!

Hi newtothis28,
I'm so sorry you had to go through this. It's painful when we're rejected and our voices are not heard and we don't get closure. It's tough.
I think you made the right call with not sending the letter and I can relate with how angry I felt when my ex walked out and I felt like all of the pain and hurt was projected on me and I was left holding the bag. It's not fair.
I think it's Ok to vent and work through this stuff. You suffered loss
I see it as not so much winning and losing and I see it as one door closing and another door opening and opportunities. It's painful stuff, I can relate.
I hope that helps
