The settlement and divorce decree (same paperwork) is SIGNED!
But it gets better.
With a signed decree (generous property division, tiny 3 month alimony, zero strings attached in a few months) I could have the L ram home the divorce even if the stbx uBPDw changed her mind. There's a piece of paper I'd need the uBPDw to sign to waive her right to meddle in the process, but that can't be signed until the stbx has actually seen the filed and stamped divorce petition.
So I was dreading trying to get her to sign a second piece of paper which states "I waive my right to even knowing the date/time/location of any hearing." And I'd need to file for divorce before I could even try.
So the L has her paralegal stall the stbx with going over some forms we don't need while my L runs to the court house to file the paperwork. Shows my wife the stamped divorce paperwork and gets her to sign.
Basically, we have signed copies of an uncontested divorce settlement and a signed appearance waiver. There is literally nothing (within reason) that can be done to derail the D-Train.
Now, to get her out of the house, and change my phone number.
