Hello all,
Thank you for being available to me as I try to help my daughter. I'll read posts for awhile but may post if I have anything to offer. Feeling very sad right now.

Thank you. You welcoming note brought tears to my eyes.
I have known for a long time that my daughter had BPD. She has alienated all of us in the family at one time or another. I think we may have reached the point of no return now and I am trying to be strong, break old patterns, etc.
The information from everyone sharing is so helpful and gives me strength.

She is in her thirties. I am trying to balance her needs with those of my other children. I feel so caught in the middle. I'm afraid to communicate with her because she misinterprets what I say. My heart breaks for her.
I just downloaded the book, I Am Not Sick, I Don't Need Help to see if that could guide me. I also think I may make an appointment with a therapist to have someone to talk with about this.
Thank you for being here.

Nonny, welcome---it is so hard to balance all of the families needs and to also find time for the most important thing, taking care of yourself. We are all with you in this dilemma. I came to this site a year ago at a particularly low point in our struggles with ddwBPD age 27. The tools and lessons have helped us all so much. I hope they will be as helpful to you. The support you will find here is incredible. My daughter is doing really well now, and I give the tools and the advice I received here much of the credit for that. I have done family therapy, and the NAMI family2family class in order to gain more insight into mental illness and this disease, as well as reading lots of books. We are here for anything you may need. Do you want to share what your are currently struggling with? You are not alone.
