I placed this on the leaving board, but since I drift between the undecided and leaving, I thought this was interesting to post:

My kids S25, D21 took me to see Inside out. My S25 is a psyc major.  The movie was for entertainment but my S later explained to me the importance of sadness, that although we want to avoid sadness and experience joy, sadness has a purpose, it cleanses us, allows us to let go and move on.
