I'll start off with my 16 yr old daughter was admitted to psych last night from her residential program. It's been crisis mode since Christmas. I've ridden this rollercoaster for years. It's getting very scary, though. I haven't seen her since November and her behaviors have escalated so quickly. I'm thankful she's in Psych, but she's in another state and it kills me to think of her going through all of this on her own (rescuing thought Smiling (click to insert in post) ). I have no contact with her and had to cancel my trip to see her this week. She went voluntarily to psych, but is now combative and splitting.

Right now I'm hoping to get her to McLean or Menninger for treatment.

Looking for advice and support,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

Welcome, welcome. I'm new too, I joined a couple of weeks ago and wish to offer you support, though I have no experience of your journey that takes my breath away. Have the Drs explained to you why her behaviours have escalated so quickly since Christmas? I hope you are able to access treatment at McLean or Menniger.

That's a long time not to see your daughter, I hope you are able to be with her soon and able to care for yourself.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you are. WDx
