Hello everyone... .

I found this group while searching the web... I have an adult son who has BPD. He is 22 years old and lives in a group home.

He keeps calling me about 20 times a day just to see how I am doing. Any suggestions on ways I can help

him controlling me so much by calling me all the time?

Thanks

hi gradschool,

Welcome to the Parenting Board!

Have you thought about setting some limits on how/when your son can contact you daily?  Just as important as setting the limits will be enforcing them consistently.

Hi Gradschool2016 and welcome

What's a group home? I'm in the UK and guessing you are in the US.

What do you consider reasonable contact? Perhaps agree a time that suits you both and can commit too.
