Pregnancy entrapment

It seems that a pwBPD would more likely use the pregnancy trap if they had a good thing going, especially if they wanted a better lifestyle than as a single person or single mom with a kid. Don't they eventually run out of chances by getting too old or too messed up to get someone to marry them? I'm surprised sometimes that even when their reputations and past are well known that guys still fall for these women.

My Ex wanted to have unprotected sex right away. I was older and certainly more financially stable tan her previous two bfs,.but she didn't use BC with them either.
My impression was that with bf1, she wanted to get pregnant to keep him. She was desperately in love with him, even though he left her. Bf2, she wasn't in love with, I think she just wanted a child for herself. The first was just a very young narcissistic guy. The second may have been NPD or ASPD (she got a restraining order in him, and he later ended up in the county lock up on an unrelated matter).
I once accused her of using me just to have kids with a stable guy. She denied it, and said that she truly did love me. I can't help but remember that she was ready to get pregnant right away, months before she told me that she loved me. It's frustrating to try end understand the motivations behind a comoartmentalized personality.
On the one hand, I suppose I should be honored that I am the father of the only biological children that she'll ever have, since she fixed herself after D3. Then again, it means she can have pregnancy free sex to her heart's desire fir the rest of her life. And I can't not remember that she was willing to have a child with the previous two guys. Like my T said about so many other things, maybe 15% truth mixed up in distortions.

i think everyone fears this to varying extents, and with a heightened fear of abandonment its not a stretch to go from fear to action.

My T warned me that if I ever got back together with my BPD ex chances are she'd try to get pregnant. He said he's seen it a number of times with previous patients of his who got back with theirs. He was very serious about it and made sure I understood what could possibly happen if I ever went back.
