Thank goodness it only took a year to walk thru this to the other side. Altho it was a whirlwind and quite a ride to say the least.

To give narcissists a veil of mental illness is yet another scapegoat to allow them to get away with what they do. Offer pity to the so called "victim" they claim to be.

Nah. They are the opposite of who you see in your mirror.

Wake up. This is just a nightmare.

With love. ❤

I tend to agree with you... .BPD's are a bit different than anti-socials and narcissist, but BPD's have narcissism in them and could "border" on all of them. Mine admits he was "an evil devil" in an email to me... .they know what they do to people. They only care about themselves. Ultimately you are correct-they are opposite of us! I like your simplicity... .we tend to over analyze here. Mine played the mental illness card the whole relationship with me... .they may not all do this, but he and I started the relationship with my knowing he was in therapy. So he used that do do all kinds of horrible things and I was dumb enough to feel sorry for him and be very concerned over and over. Letting him get away with way too much for way too long!

All of us here are wired to help and understand. But we tend to excuse and feel sorry so as we spin in confusion they are free to do as they wish in their silence. We spend our days thinking about them. Almost obsessing. We only cross their minds when our plate begins to wobble from lack of momentum. And pop in just to give us a quick spin.

They are skilled at what they do and are always two steps ahead. Always.

We label. Which gives them more slack to run with. It is indeed evil. And they are conscious of every move.

I follow "knowing the narcissist" on Facebook.  This blogger is obviously never at a lack for words because he loves the attention. But it helps me by reminding me word for word how their minds work.  So when that little voice tells me "this isn't him", poof! Another blog written that describes something within the last year.

I know everyone here has the best intentions. Especially if children are involved.  It just hurts to watch so many others caught in this trap.
