Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a day to celebrate moms, but it's not always a happy day when your child has BPD. Maybe you are terrified for them, or they are furious with you. Maybe the day started off calm but grew into a hurricane. Maybe you have been forced to create more distance than you ever wanted or have been shut out entirely. Maybe no one understands, blames you or your child or maybe you have stopped sharing the latest catastrophe. Or maybe this is a year when a corner has been turned, and you are breathing a sigh of relief that this year is so much better. Parenting is the hardest thing in the world, and parenting a child with BPD or another serious mental illness can be agonizing. I have read your posts and know how hard us mother's are trying and how much we have fought and sacrificed for all children. Happy Mother's Day to all!
