I'm sitting here this morning enjoying a hot cup of tea, watching a doc about Napoleon. He was a military man who rose fast in the ranks of the French army. Developed military tactics unheard of at the time and used by armies through the out history. Faced battles head on. A brave unshaken man in the face of battle. Now his weak point, Josephine. She brought him to his knees, treated him poorly,  he wrote he love letters, he begged for her affection and attention and never received it, she had many affairs, in essence after being involved with someone who has a PD, I can pick it out in other people's situations. The point I'm trying to make is we very often feel week and less of a person after the devistating emotional abuse we faced from the npd or BPD, the hedious treatment, the dehumanizing, the break down of our belief system. So Napoleon could charge face on into canon fire but was reduced to dust emotionally by someone who probably had a PD. He begged and grovled, was a puppy dog licking  at her heals only to be treated less than human. It reminded me so much of my r/s with someone who has a PD.
