BPD fakeness become clearer and clearer

I've noticed more and more the various personalities (moods?) of my BPD partner.  He seems so fake to me all the time, completely insincere.  I can't believe I bought into his crap for the past 3 years. 

My 8 year old daughter whispered to me the other night "he seems like a cartoon".  That really blew me away. 

Anyone else shocked when the mask comes off?

I'm getting there.  It doesn't feel right when she puts on the tears, and her attempts at anger don't work because I don't engage.  It still hurts, because I'm losing her, day by day.  And I never thought, I'd live my life separate from her.
