I don't think that anyone looks at someone that keeps reaching out when they are ignored very favorably. Being needy and clingy is not very attractive after all.

In a relationship with a pwBPD, being needy and clingy can be a death nail to it. pwBPD need an emotionally strong partner. Being a doormat causes them (and anyone else really) to lose respect.

pwBPD need to feel safe. It's really hard for them to do that, so if the non forces them to be the emotionally strong one because the non is clingy and needy, it hurts more than it helps.
