My son self harms with cutting and drugs, and has had a couple of near misses. The symptoms and behaviors ramped up 5 months ago, and we are now making very hard decisions. I have found that right now, there aren't any best options. This is so hard.

How old is your son, and what kind of hard decisions are you having to make right now?

If you think your son is in danger please reach out for professional help. If you don't know what resources are available in your community I think its safe to call your local police dept and ask their advice, or google 'community mental health hotline [your community'], or maybe others have better suggestions.
I'm glad you posted here, it sounds like you are in a scary and difficult situation.
Please post again and people will reach out back to help you. Feeling alone is really hard.
