So my intuition was correct. The day he detached from me he began the courtship wooing of another. He lied and avoided me for weeks but her Facebook page told the story. He thinks I don't know what he's done. I never confronted him. Just got the silent treatment for 3 months... .His mom reached out to me, his whole family is disgusted and embarrassed for him. He ruined a perfectly good relationship with a good girl his age to dump me for a 60 yr old that looks 75. Cheap, sleazy, drinks too but she is his new boss at work. Our 9 months and future plans squashed. She could be a nice person but the contrast in age and looks is alarming... .I'm embarrassed for him too... .He's portraying an image facade to her of someone he's not. His mom has been a huge support for me because she knows I truly cared for him and that he is incapable of  real love. It's all very sad. His mom is who confirmed my suspicions, I always wanted to give him the benefit of doubt... .So I'm feeling very sad. The blanket of acceptance is cloaking me. She and I arranged for me to pick up my things that has been in limbo for 3 months. He avoided me and returning my stuff. I know and his mom said too that it's only a matter of time before he explodes on her... .he may or may not be there when I pick my stuff up, I'm going in non confrontational. We both know the truth and he has enormous shame and self hate to deal with... .wish me luck.

It's quite painful when a partner cheats on you, it can feel humiliating when they're trying sneaky about it behind your back. I can relate.

So mhe may or may not be there when I pick my stuff up, I'm going in non confrontational. We both know the truth and he has enormous shame and self hate to deal with... .wish me luck.

Nothing is 100% there's always that 2% chance, he's avoided you for three months, I think that you're right that seeing you would make him feel a lot of shame. I'd go with someone for support, his mom or a friend, even if he's there, seeing something at his place may trigger feelings, a supportive person there with you can make the transaction smoother.
