VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

Hi, Now he's shown up here. I can't have friends, a life, a career. He calls my work, my friends, volunteering and anyone. I want to live away and make more money but I live in old fashioned FL. I wish I'd never come back here. How can I take my 8 yr old to Atlanta? I have family there. It's super hard in FL to leave with the 50/50 custody nonsense. And I don't have money.

If I had money this never would have happened. I hate feeling powerless.

Hi Southern Vet

Welcome to the BPD Family

Can you share a little more of your story?  I gather you moved to Florida and your ex has followed you there?  I'm not sure by your post, are you divorced or still married?

How can we help you?

Hi Panda,

It took 4 yrs and financial ruin but we finally divorced. Having been through abuse counseling, bankruptcy, 4 attempted restraining orders (one temporarily stuck), 9 child welfare cases and another 15 police calls he instigated after we separated, what I'm looking for is just solidarity.

I'm a veteran. This hurts for a very, very, long time. Better and Listening.
