In the past my pwBPD/wife of 29 years has been very resistant to even hearing the words BPD let alone considering the diagnosis.  We have been separated for a year now but have been dating again for the past 7 months to see if we can possibly make it work. Recently we have been in severe crisis and I have been extremely close to calling the lawyer to begin the divorce process.  She doesn’t want the marriage to end and neither do I really, but the arguments and the deterioration of the relationship have been in such a crescendo that it felt very close to futile.  Yesterday in our discussion, it seemed like we had a bit of a break through and she agreed to see a local private counselor who specializes in BPD/DBT counselling.  If she is open to it, do any of you have any suggestions of some really quality areas on this website or on other websites or videos, etc. that may help an individual with BPD to understand and accept their condition and how to better cope with it?
Also any suggestions on quality material related to understanding and dealing with shame (beyond Brene Brown) would be appreciated.

My H and I listen to a woman on youtube. Her youtube name is DBT Peer Connection. She has BPD and also teaches DBT. My H has really liked her videos and relates very well to them. They are not a replacement for true DBT treatment but they can give an introduction to some of the concept of BPD in the meantime.
