Just starting to learn about BPD and reading SWOE. Looking for information about how to handle blowups by my nearly 17 year old daughter before she starts DBT.

Hi Lshbp

Welcome to the bpdfamily

Im sorry that yoir circumstances with your daughter have brought you here. However you habe come to a place where you will find much support. Parents here are going through similar experiences.

There is a wealth of information on the board to the right  Bullet: important point (click to insert in post) Personally I have really enjoyed reading " Loving Someone With Bordeline Peraonality Disorder" by Shari Manning. She offers real insight into why our children are this way including rages. Most importantly strategies based on DBT, so its great that your daughter is starting there.

We would love to hear more about your journey and how your daughter progresses with therapy. Please keep sharing as we are all here with you.
