Hi. Just found this group. I’ve been reading Stop Walking on Eggshells and I am so grateful. I’m not crazy!  I’ve been struggling  with the relationship with my mom. Things I thought were normal weren’t. I realized I have excused unacceptable behavior my whole life. And it has affected all the relationships I’ve had. I know I can’t change my mom but I now feel like a can get a handle on my actions and responses and can change myself.

Hi Abee94

Welcome to our online family! I'm also glad you've found us. The adults of a pwBPD (person/parent with BPD) need to stick together.  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post) It really is helpful to find support from others who understand the unique challenges that we face, and those who have not grown up in such an environment do not understand. There's a great list to the right hand side of this board that has some helpful information. Anything you click on will open into a larger window. ---->> >

You've chosen a great book to read. How do you feel about the discoveries so far? Is it shocking, helpful, validating? Perhaps the better question would be to ask you if you are able to figure out what you are feeling?

Keep posting, reading and sharing!

What wasn't normal and what do you see now as unacceptable?
