Hello,I am new to the world of BOD,I have a teen daughter newly diagnosed.Well we have been suspecting it for awhile.I have done a lot of research and I find all the support I was giving her is opposite of what I should have been doing. What a strange illness.Any wise words to cope with all of this?

It is strange isn't it? All I can say as a newbie myself is to start taking better care of yourself.  I've found that decluttering a little each day created some space for me to lay down a yoga mat.  So I stretch more often.  Still deal with what I've been dealing with but I feel a bit more in control of my day, and it helps.

Hi Bontoplen and welcome to the boards!  You have found a place where others can relate to your experience and can help you as you learn new ways to communicate with your daughter and take care of yourself.

The best place to start is to look over on the right side of the page where there are links to various articles that can be very helpful.  The section is called BPD Family Connections.

As you read posts you will see there are many others who are in or have been in the same situation.  Everyone here is very supportive and encouraging.  I am so glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that brought you here.

You found a good place to land.
