My daughter and son I think are BPD. I haven't talked to them since Christmas. I can't stand anymore abuse.
Their Dad was BPD and it feels like Im still married to him dealing with them. I have been divorced for 37 years, but they are flowing in his his footsteps. I've tried to help them, but they won't listen to anything I say. To my daughter I'm either God or Satan and right now I'm satan. I would like to have a relationship with them but I'm tired of the drama. Don't know anything else to do. The last time I heard from my daughter she sent and email out to her brothers and sister and me of what a terrible Mom i am. She get mad at me when I'm not even around. My son has stayed mad at me most of his life. He has been married 4 times.

Hi Woreout

I'm so glad you've joined our online family. Thank you for sharing your heartache with us. The members on this board will be so helpful to you because they understand.

How old are your children? I'm very sorry that they are acting like your ex. How discouraging that must be and lonely too in not being able to have contact with them. As I'm sure you know, unfortunately we cannot control what a pwBPD or traits of BPD will do, and the behavior can be so wounding. Have you been able to read up on BPD at all or attend T sometime to help you?

There's a great list to the right hand side of this board that is a great place to start. ---->> >
Please keep posting!

Hello woreout

I would like to join Woolspinner in welcoming you here, my heart goes out to you.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've not spoken to either your son or your daughter since Christmas because you can't stand any more abuse. Are you the one who initiated NC (no contact) because of the abuse that you were getting?

My son is NC with me at the moment so I know how it feels to have no relationship with an adult child. I too am painted black. I am currently working on myself, trying to learn new and better ways to communicate with him in the hope of turning the NC around.

As Woolspinner has pointed out, there are TOOLS and LESSONS to the right  Bullet: important point (click to insert in post)

Maybe you could take a look at Lesson 2 - If your current approach is not working - change it.

Hope to hear more from you x
