Five years after my relationship with a BP ends, and seeking help now

My 10+ years living with a woman with BPD ended 5 years ago. I soon started recovering other parts of my life that needed help (financial, physical health) but never did any work to recover from the damage done to me over the course of 10 years. When I began to date again, I noticed that something felt different and relationships would end at about the same point. Finally, frustrated by this and wanting things to be different, I saw a therapist and the lights started going off. She recommend I read "Walking on Eggshells", and so I'm here to reclaim my life and my former self.

Hi MovingPast,
What felt different to you about subsequent relationships, and what "same point" would they end upon?

Hi there MovingPast,
How are you doing?
Have you managed to start reading "Walking on Eggshells" yet?
Yours,

Hi MovingPast,
Welcome! I hope you'll find it extremely useful here.
What about therapy (and/or Eggshells if you've started) are you finding most useful? Do these parts of the dating times where it seems to 'end' do so because you see similar traits in those women? Or is it some sort of conditioned reaction you are having to something about that point of the relationship?
