I have been married for many years but have never understood my husband. After our son was diagnosed with BPD, he told me that he thought his dad had it too. That is when I started reading about it. I have made a little bit of progress dealing with my son, but he is very motivated to get well. It's harder to talk to my husband, who is in denial. I just joined the BPD Family today. I figured I could learn from others and their experiences.

Hi and welcome to the board!  I am glad you are reaching out here for support.

We can help you as you learn new ways to communicate and relate with your husband and your son so you are in the right place.  What sort of behaviors does your husband exhibit that would indicate possible BPD?

As you share more, we will be better able to guide you.  In the meantime, settle in and read and feel free to jump into other posts.  It is important to build a support network.  As you interact more with others you will learn you are not alone and you will learn gain insight into your own situation.

I also want to let you know that we have a separate board for parents of children with BPD, either diagnosed or those with traits of BPD.  The link to that board is here if you want to check it out:  Son / Daughter

Again, Welcome
