Hi, I am new and looking for resources in the mid atlantic area for 18 yo daughter.  Both of interested in residential treatment, partial hospitalization or DBT day treatment.  I’ve been on most of the sites, but i desire to speak with someone who has had a positive experience with a specific center.
Thank you

I don't know if this is helpful, but I can share with you that when my son was 15 he was placed at Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore MD and also Towson MD.  They had a day program also ( didn't help my son, but Sheppard Pratt has a good reputation).  He was placed there after being admitted in Northwest ER ( Baltimore hospital). Actually, this was after several different ER visits earlier that year ( 2009) in Maryland including Children's Hospital in DC.  So this wasn't a voluntary thing on his part.  Since your child is willing and an adult, I am not sure how that would be handled.  I guess referral from her psych?
That was the beginning, there is a longer story where he then had to go from SP to RICA in Baltimore(Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents).  But anyway, if your child's psych could look into Sheppard Pratt for you .  You could also call your county's Crisis Hotline for names of residential facilities for your child as well.
