I'll try to write more later.  Most of the story is at the bottom of my post in the thread below.

Guess who just left with the kids?  Nope...can't explain it, other than once it didn't matter..she stayed.

I'm sure it's much more complicated in her head.  At the moment I'm thankful..especially for you guys nudging (thumping) me in the right direction.

It was much more an attitude than any specific thing I said...emotional/flexible...vice "rules/structure"

It definitely helped me have some alternate view points and feel more confident "approaching" my wife in a way that "didn't feel comfortable".
