Anyone ever work with an Insurance Advocate?
«

Hi - as I was reading through some information on one of the websites for a wilderness program, they suggested working with an insurance advocate to try to reimbursement from your insurance company for the cost of the program. On the website they noted that families who had done so typically received a significant reimbursement - and those that did not were typically denied.
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with an Insurance Advocate and if they would please share their experience.
Thanks

I have no experience with that but it sounds like something I'd be interested in if I had the need. Is there a fee for their assistance?

OH
Yes there is...(isn't there a fee for everything! . I have only spoken to one company so far, waiting to hear back from a few more.
Depending on the company - they will do everything from research programs and if your insurance will cover the cost, to getting pre-authorization, to going back to insurance and trying to get denials changed to approvals.
