Gratitude for this group

So many of you have been following the ups and downs I go through with my DS24XBPD and praying and hoping and holding me up
I want to first and foremost express my gratitude. You all put the support in support group. I often sing your praises to my T.
Here is an update. My son is still struggling but he is also still with us. At the moment I am in Cancun, Mexico with my DH celebrating our anniversary. Being away is giving us both a broader perspective. The morning we left DS came over. He was not high or deregulated. He gave me a huge hug and told me he loved me very much and asked me not to worry so much because he is going to be OK. So that started things off on a good note. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? I am doing what they tell me in my Alanon group and detaching with love. The future is in God's hands not mine. For the first time I am coming to accept that.
Hugs
Faith

Wow, this is big, Faith. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the gorgeous turquoise water, white sand, crashing waves, salty smell, frozen drink. God gave us our 5 senses to let us know we are alive and on this crazy wild ride of life.

Happy Anniversary - and enjoy every moment of your trip. That was a great gift for a send off from your son. Thank you for sharing that.
