Well, super abbreviated back story as I've been off here a long time... owner Home 13+ years married 2.5 years and she burns my boys and I down and takes our home, belongings life savings etc. and paints me as the devil in an epic smear campaign.

Fast forward over 2 years, she's living in my home now with her children and our of the blue I get this text...

 "Xxxx, this is xxxxx. Were you aware that the basement was tied to a septic tank instead of the sewer line?"

Now remember I no longer own the home, have zero contact with her and was only the in love fool who put her on title and lost it to her...I

So first, nope didn't know and second I'm instantly afraid she's going to try to sue me etc... believe me her and her attorney were frightening with the lies I had to defend against...

Ok, bad... I responded...

 "No idea about that...enjoy the house because it can never be a home again now so I feel for you there...we really loved you all more than you know...I loved and trusted you so my fault there...be well"

Soo I know I shouldn't have responded but it felt cathartic...

Thoughts?

Thanks for the ear...

Hey NewStart, Response sounds OK to me, but I wouldn't count on hearing back from her in any meaningful way.  Suggest you tread carefully, because there's a chance she will use the opening to dump her anger, and the kitchen sink, on you.  I doubt you will receive anything positive in return, so be prepared.  Forewarned is forearmed!

@LuckyJim
I got about what I figured I'd get which was nothing. She's a strong NPD/BPD so in the end I'm sure for her it was just more Narc fuel.  Oh well, I feel like I got something off my chest and wasn't planning on engaging with her... just felt the need to poke a jab at whatever conscience if any she might have.

@Amethyste
I think you're correct, I suspect much more than BPD, comorbid NPD and dare I say sociopath?  It was all quit aweful and so well conducted... it hurts to think it but maybe all premeditated...

...on the premeditated piece above... she now has a wealthy live in boyfriend that is dying of cancer apparently... really?  She did zero for my boys and I, from my experience would say she's looking for her next payday with the added bonus of saving some face for what she did to us by appearing benevolent... sick... I feel for her children...
