Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone would know of a good therapist in NJ. As I have previously posted here, my mother has uBPD. I was seeing a therapist and she has helped me immensely. However, she had kindly admitted to me that she had no knowledge in regards to my mother's illness and she wouldn't know where to begin. Although, I have grown because of her, I'd like to find someone who has extensive knowledge of BPD and can, possibly, help me cope even better when dealing with my mother.

Elinor Greenberg, a therapist and the author of "Borderline, Narcissistic, and Schizoid Adaptations", is in New York. If she is too far away, she might be able to recommend a therapist that lives closer to you.

Thank you Zachira! and thank you to my BPD Family friends for recommending the Psychology Today website. I went on and searched and finally found a therapist who is truly familiar with BPD. She has treated patients with it and has worked with family members who have to deal with loved ones with BPD. I am hopeful that she can further help me cope with my mother and keep some sort of relationship or help me be strong enough to walk away. I will keep you posted.
