Covid has made my son more disregulated.  He has ALWAYS been a problem-this is not new.  It's just worse.  He needs to see a MD.  I have made two appointments and he has left both offices screaming at them about their policies regarding masks and other things. He has just left my house yelling at me about every perceived transgression I have made as a parent including that we went to the same two restaurants when he was little.  He says I didn't think for myself.  He thinks the whole covid thing is the government to scare and control us.
I feel like there is no hope for me or my husband to live a normal life.  I'm not eating or sleeping.

Welcome,
Is your son an adult?
I am not sure where you live, but in the US some states/ counties have crisis units you can call.  A team can come out in an unmarked car and talk to him( if he is an adult, he has to give permission, though).  I have actually tricked my adult son in the past by stating if he feels I am a threat / the govmt is a threat ( whatever it is) he can talk to the crisis team about it.  Sometimes talking to them does de escalate things.  He may even agree to get further help .
You are not alone, what you have described is very familiar here.  Please write back on what is going on.

Thank you for the info. My son is 31 and this is not a new problem.   It has not gotten to the point of needing outside intervention.  It's just at the line.  Years ago, I called the police and it was the worse thing I could have done.  I will never do that again unless I'm physically at risk.  In my experience, police generally makes things worse not better.  Things are a little better as he has been busy.  We are going to try yet another doctor.  Let's see.  thanks again.  I wasn't sure anyone was on the board.

Thank you for writing back!  I am so glad he is amenable to going to another doc . Glad he is keeping himself busy too.  And how about you?  You need some self care as well , whether it be yoga, meditation, hobby.. It is so easy to get sucked into the BPD drama world .  Write back any time you have need and if you can , let us know how he gets on with the new doc.
