My daughter is 21 and is pregnant and she has told me she thinks she has bpd some years ago..  She’s been diagnosed with chronic depression and c-ptsd, at age 16.  She experienced repeated trauma from the age of 8-12 or so and didn’t tell me until years later.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

What is her living situation? How is her relationship with you?

It's meaningful that she suspects a diagnosis many young women would feel stigmatized by. Do you agree with her diagnosis? Does she express any interest in treatment?

Have you noticed any changes in her during her pregnancy?
