Husband left in August...

My Husband left in August after a very rocky 8 months. I caught him "self-medicating" With Xanax and Vicodin. He would admit to self- medicating, but not the extent. I was keeping a pill log on him because he was stealing my medication I needed for my Chronic Cluster Migraines and such. After he left and I reached out to Our Family Doctor thinking it was a drug problem and perhaps some stress from work and things he recently learned from his childhood, He went ballistic. I became the enemy. From that day on... .It's been War. He cut off all money. (I'm on disability). He told me he would destroy my life like I just did his. I couldn't understand where this was all coming from. Then, I started therapy with Our two grown boys. And BOOM!
After some sessions, Our therapist suggested I read some books. I read the first 4 chapters of "Splitting... ." and I thought I heard Angels singing. My life for the last 28 years summed up into the first 4 chapters of a book. I guess I won the Mother load, Borderline Personality AND High functioning Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I'm told we (The boys and I) have dodged a bullet and should be happy. After 28 years of Marriage I just feel lost right now. Not to mention he is making the divorce very painful and acting out and NOT following court orders every time we get one.

Sorry to hear what a painful time this is for you and your children. Feeling lost is completely normal.
Have you read/posted on the family law board? They likely will be able to help you in your situation. Take care of yourselves.
