I've been reading Stop Walking on Eggshells and the book mentions this site.  Hope it's still active.  My adult daught has a recent BPD diagnosis and I'm finding my way in the dark as to how to help her and understand.  She still lives at home and most of the time her behaviour is very unlikeable.  The only way I cab describe it is I feel trapped in her life.

hi!  I read that & I Hate You, Don't Leave Me!  I love:  trapped in her life!  MY 24 y/o BPD abruptly stopped speaking to me, my husband and her sister, so...I know, it is a hot mess!  This group will help you IMMENSENLY!  I have learned coping methods, (most important:  don't lose sight of YOU (I just started taking that advice); I pored over pictures and cards, trying to figure out, HOW???? i hope you find peace

Hi Binkie and another welcome from me  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

Fortunately for all of us, this site is pretty active. New members join almost every day, and many members keep posting for years.

How old is your adult daughter? Does she have a job or other reason to get out of the house?

Like BPDstinks mentioned, taking care of yourself is a good first step in un-trapping yourself from her life. Take a look at some of our material on When a teen or adult child has Borderline Personality Disorder; some of those articles may resonate with you and help you find something you can change in your life for the better.
