I had a friend drop him a nonchalant text and he answered, he is going with friends to a hockey game tonight.  He has moved in with 2 other guys and will enjoy the game tonight, so I think he will be OK.

I am... .   sad.  I know I did what I had to do, I guess I just wish I hadn't had to do it.  I am closing in on 50, being alone for the rest of my life is a real possibility, but in the end... .   I'd rather be alone with this "me" I'm getting to know than be with him the way things were.  Still, melancholy is heavy in me tonight.
