This reply was split from an old thread as it deserves it's own current discussion. https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=195420.0

sherryg, when I read your post I could have written it myself. Today is my son’s 40th birthday and if anyone would have told me I would not be a part of my son and his family’s life I would never have believed it.
We went from having a close loving relationship to me being the devil incarnate. I worry about my three beautiful grand daughters’ mental wellbeing growing up in a home filled with anger and tension.
Thank you for listening, I hate to burden my daughter, who is also cut out of my son and grandchildren’s lives, and my friends, you don’t want to put a damper on anyone’s holidays, and today is also Easter.
It helps to know I am not the only person going through this.

Hi Mimisan and welcome to the board.  I am sorry for what brings you here but I am happy you found us and are reaching out for support.  You are not alone at all and as you continue to read and post here you will see that we all support each other.

What you describe sounds quite difficult.  Can you tell us more about the situation with your son and grandkids?

I hope to read more from you soon.
