Seems like anxiety sets in for this individual prior to our visit and remains very high during time spent with family, even into weeks after we leave area.  Individual very much in charge of household to point of frustrating all involved.  Wondering if this is an attempt to lessen our contact with members of family?

Hi, herefor100years,

I am not sure I completely understand your question. Do you mind sharing a little more information? It sounds like you are planning to visit a relative who lives with a person who has BPD and that your visits tend to trigger the person with BPD to dysregulate, which has lasting effects on their household. Is this correct?

Do you mind sharing what your relationship is like with the family you are concerned about, what kinds of conflicts you would like help with, etc.? I see from your introduction post that you are concerned about privacy, and that's completely understandable. Maintaining confidentiality is very important to us, too. It may help to know that with thousands of registered members, your story will blend right in. It's a good idea not to divulge names or other personal information; at the same time we might be able to help a little better if we have a clearer understanding of the situation.

Wishing you peace,

PF
