After speaking with my dd's case manager yesterday we realized that her dx was completely off.  Thank goodness there are people out there that are as concerned with details like I am so that these issues can be dealt with and fixed right away.  Its amazing how something so important can be overlooked when there is a clear history and long term dx.

I'm in the midst of a phone call frenzy trying to get everything straightened out.  I know this will be fixed, but it makes you wonder how much time has been wasted because of mistakes such as this not being caught.

At least I know I have a professional that will be as vigilant as I am and will be looking over all of her records with a fine tooth comb.   Smiling (click to insert in post)

Hi Googie

I hope "they" get it right soon!

How will these changes affect your d's treatment?

What dx are you referring to?

It's all good now.  There have been so many evaluations and prior dx that it confuses even the best professionals when first getting to know a client I guess.

The most important thing is that she is definitely in the right place with people who really know how to help.  I just got off the phone with her therapist and I am so relieved because he is extending his help to me as well so both my dd and I can go through the DBT process together which will be such a wonderful experience.  I'm sure it won't be easy, but I feel that I can greatly benefit from doing whatever her therapist asks of me.

This is exactly what I was hoping and praying for.  Smiling (click to insert in post)
