Rebuilding or repairing your reputation... I cannot find this thread. HELP

I saw this thread somewhere here, but lost it. I searched as best I could.
Does anyone know where this is?
My wife basically has her entire family thinking I am an abusive, cruel, chauvenist, slob. It is only reinforced by the fact that they all get terribly insulted when I try to set boundaries with them.
She posted on facebook that I have been "verbally abusive and she has been living in fear of me for the last 10 years"
She called her school and left a voicemail for the secretary in the middle of a fight. I believe the told her " We all heard the voicemail with your husband screaming in the background. It was awful"
Schools are full of gossip and I'm sure they have all talked about it.
It's easy to forget them, but I grew up in that town and I am a realtor in that town.
My wife is in recovery and accepts BPD. My family is aware of it and is supportive of me. I have her dad onboard, I think.
I would like to have a relationship with her family and her co-workers. However, my fist instinct is to just never ever see any of them again.
I would ask my SO to reveal to them that I am a good husband, father and person. Obviously not now. But still, how could anyone believe that I've been painted the bad guy for the past 10 years.
Her family had an intervention to try to split us up 10 years ago because of how cruel I am. I was dumbfounded.
