Hello all.

Well I finally managed to get the religious divorce today  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

Feel so much better, it was important to me despite having the civil divorce a year ago. We went out to a Japanese restaurant to celebrate

Equivalent of C.E saw ds11 and dd7 in school this week. I was supposed to see him yesterday but he called the evening before saying it had tone postponed due to other court attendances. Dd7 teacher has rung and lest messages to speak to him as he was on a trip when he came to school. He left dd7 book for him to look at which he photocopied for court. Their learning intention was "I can identify a time when I feel anxious"... . She wrote " I feel anxious when I have to go for contact in case my dad hurts me like he hurt my brother and because my dad doesn't like me"... .

Lets hope they take some notice now.

Anyways, had his financial statement which he will be cross examined on in August. Mine was 4pages, average... . his is 64!of course the judge will only read the beginning and end which is all extremely emotive and full of projections " she has always been a domineering woman, controlled me through the marriage and has continued to dose even now"! And if it wasn't in black and white, don't think I'd have quite believed it, but after explaining he has been relying on his family ( instead of working)"I don't see that my family should have to continue to support me  as I was married to the applicant and she has higher earning capacity working as ****!" Apart from questionable morals, the religious hypocrisy is breath taking.

... . but no matter, I have civil and religious divorces now, and feel more empowered for the trial.

Hugs to all, this really is a marathon

Hi Gettingthere,

I'm glad you're feeling more empowered! That really does help so much, especially when getting ready for trial.

How are your kids doing? How often are they seeing their dad? Do they know that there is a trial coming up, or understand why the CE was asking them questions?

Sorry for all the questions. I haven't been on the boards as much as I once was, and might have missed some of what was going on in your case.
