The BPDgf ran out of meds on Friday and annoyed me yesterday. She is gone today for about 10 days and has a new supply of meds.

Generally in the past this level of annoyance signaled a push away where I would feel used, she would feel guilty or defiant or whatever then break off contact with me until the next time. We have a lot of practice at this. She pissed me off this morning because I had arranged my schedule to pick up her meds then drive her to the shuttle for her trip to mexico.

She found somebody else to do it and had access to a car but like in the past had no regard/appreciation value of my time.

I was upset but took a few breaths and was determined not to handle this like I had done in the past. I tried to call her and she did not take call. Then called back and I just tried to keep it normal and positive. I did say I know she was mad at me last night and she said did not want to argue and I replied something like forget about it you were off your meds and I had a bad day etc.

Now she will be in mexico for about 10 days and I will be trying to detach from her. She will be fine with her family for a week or so but when she returns I don't want to go back to the familiar co-dependent pattern.

So I will be going through withdrawals I am sure for a few days and will try to distract myself as best I can.

Everything logically and any outside observer who is not insane tells me this r/s will end badly. I have not been myself for a couple of weeks and am concerned I will go down with the ship if I can't break the behavior patterns.
