S12 is upset about new guy

This is a tricky place for both you and the kids.

I have a similiar problem with my sons, I had a very good male friend when I had to leave who helped me. I am divorced and we are together. 

My sons have known this man their entire lives (15, and almost 18).  My 18 year old said no way to this relationship and has cut me off. 

I almost gave into my sons.  But then I couldn't do it. My x took far too much away from me he is not taking my last longstanding relationship.  The kids hurt, they want me all to themselves, and they want this man gone forever. 

I would have done that for them if I thought that I actually could have this person gone forever.  We have known each other since we were 7 years old.  He would be back into my life. 

So I don't know these answers if I am right or wrong.  But I do know that it my choice now and my children need to respect my decisions.  They saw me weak for far too long.
