Are these any good? Does anyone have one to recommend? My son cannot start DPT until he gets out of jail. I can photocopy pages and mail them to him. I was wondering if that is even a good idea?

Is he set up to start DBT when he is released?  Does he seem motivated to do the DBT?

I don't know about starting him with pages from a workbook.  Perhaps, someone that has a workbook can advise you with that.  I thought about getting one for my daughter, but I doubt she would do the work unless she was assigned.

Does he have therapy appointment for when he is released?

He does not yet but that is the plan. We are still almost 2 months out and I don't know an exact date.

Are you getting him the workbook because you want him to use it or are you getting it because he requested it?

I tried it both ways and it only worked when my dd requested it.

If he's not 100% vested in participating in the workbook it will probably be an exercise in futility but if he's more then 50% and has some basic understanding of dbt principles it might be worth a try.

He is willing but has never participated in the therapy.
