I am very interested in discussing EDMR therapy for BPD.  There is a highly acclaimed EDMR therapist where I live and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of therapy for BPD.  My 20 y/o daughter is going to a therapist and has started a DT group.  I have heard positive things re EDMR (have experienced myself for PTSD and found it helpful.)  Any thoughts?

I took my daughter who is BPD to an EMDR therapist when she was a teenager and it was very effective for her. Really very dramatic. I would just take her when things were in a really bad place and she would emerge lighter and reset. Back then I didn't know she had BPD just that she would get very negative and hopeless and dark.

I've tried it for myself for PTSD and I didn't really get a whole lot out it for whatever reason - I know other people do though.
