posting all these articles about how bad BPD moms are is really not helpful.  do you give any credit to the BPDs who are actually trying not to pass on their psychopathology? who are in family therapy? talking about their issues and how it affects their children?  give them some credit.   Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

two of my kids have some BPD traits which i feel bad about passing on but we talk and are in therapy... .give BPD people who are trying to get better some credti

Hi and welcome to BPD family. Have you looked at the the coping board yet? There are people there talking about having traits from their parents and dealing with them. You might find that board more positive.

Hi NotAToxicWaste,

Hello and welcome to bpdfamily  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Please tell us more when you feel comfortable doing so, and let us know what kind of help and support you hope to get here. Are there specific articles you can point us to that can educate us about BPD parents doing the work alongside their BPD kids (or BPD traits)? This would be a helpful resource for people here, especially for those who have a lineage of BPD in their families.

It takes a lot of courage to stick with therapy, and your kids are lucky that you're shining light on things. My T talks about it as "changing the family script."  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

What ages are your kids, and how are they doing? I hope you'll keep posting and share how things are going when you feel comfortable. This is a really helpful place for learning, support, and compassion.
