For all of you who have given advice on these boards, based on your own experience. My SD is in the process of divorcing her dBPD husband. Yesterday they had mediation on custody. She had gone in with a plan of what she thought was reasonable and in their daughter's best interests. She had solutions. Her ex? Not so much. LOL! He demanded 50/50 with him having their child all summer. He wanted week on and week off during the school year. Even though they live in 2 different states. When the mediator asked how that would work he had no idea. When my SD objected to their daughter being around his self proclaimed bi-polar off her meds girlfriend, he had nothing to say. Mediator asked her some questions about the GF and said "Yhat sounds more like Borderline Personality Disorder." Since her ex refused to compromise, wanted her to do all the driving (even though he's the one who moved away) nothing was resolved. So it's off to court they go. But my SD says she's ready with her journal, saved text messages, saved voicemails and more. She used to be afraid of him. Not anymore.Everytime he or his GF open their mouths, she doesn't react, she writes it down.
