I believe my ex has given me the greatest gift by leaving.
I have set myself ree from the dysfunctional and self destructive clutches of a toxic BPD/NPD - Co dependent relationship.
It requires tbe shedding of an old sense of self, which has learned to cope in an environment of fear and oppression, to a new identity or core who sees and feels the beauty and love in the world as well as pain and fear.
To me it feels like the transition from black and white into colour. I feel new. I've recreated/refocused who I am.
I know who I am within my boundaries. I keep safe people close - and there are many. Unsafe people are outside my boundaries and are God's concern. They try to influence me to from time to time, I hand them straight back to God. They belong to his sphere of control, not mine.
Within my boundaries I feel and experience-pain, anger, joy, love, loneliness, connectedness, fear, happiness. These things are not not good or bad. They each have benefits to me.
I still have a long way to go, but I feel free!

This is AMAZING, Moselle
Just wanted to show my support. I know how difficult it can be to get through these break-ups, but I really identify with what you've said here, so it's nice to read other people's experiences of 'rebirth.'
Well done.

You go, Moselle!
I love the way you expressed your freedom in this post. It's great to read! It reminds me of the "Lifting" stage in Susan Anderson's
The Journey from Abandonment to Healing.
Happy for you.
